A group of priests daily in the evening at this ghat perform "Agni #Pooja" (#Worship to Fire) wherein a dedication is made to Lord #Shiva, River #Ganga (the Ganges), Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the whole universe. Special aartis are held on Tuesdays and on #religious #festivals
Dashashwamedh Ghat is the main ghat in Varanasi on the Ganges River. It is located close to #Vishwanath #Temple and is probably the most spectacular ghat. Two Hindu theologies are associated with it: According to one, Lord Brahma created it to welcome Lord Shiva. According to another legend, Lord Brahma sacrificed ten horses during Dasa -Ashwamedha yajna performed here.

This shot was taken during my trip to Varanasi which is called as Banaras as well. I click at Dashashwamedh Ghat. This is the main ghat in Varanasi on the Ganga River. It is located close to Vishwanath Temple and is probably the most spectacular ghat.Time
Varanasi has world famous Aarti/prayer for Ganga River and it perform daily in the evening. This shot was taken late evening around 7pm.Lighting
As this shot was taken in the late evening so all lights are artificial lights but they are settled in a that way which can give focus on main subject(Aarti Artist/Pandit).Equipment
I used my all time favorite Nikon D750 with 24-120mm f4. It is great for low light and travel.Inspiration
I keep travelling for travel photography but this world famous Aarti inspired me to cover it and present to people those are still unaware from this majestic place and Aarti.Editing
I performed basic editing task like color correction, tuning etc and i tried to kept it natural as much as possible to give natural essence of environment. In my camera bag
I generally carry my favorite gadgets like Nikon D750 with 24-120mm and 50mm, external speedlight/flash, memory cards and cleaner kit. Rest i add gadgets based on shot requirements.Feedback
I always says "Observe the shot before to click". Never try to shot anything before to understand it. You should spend some time at location and then start shooting. If you observe more then i can bet you will find more better shot.
