Traveled to a ranch in wyoming, where I was able to get this shot as the sun was rising. Cowboys, hearding horses.

Hey there! Amazing shot! Can I ask what ranch this was? Was this at a workshop with Jay Dickman by chance?

Location
This photograph was taking at CM Ranch, in Dubois WY. I was on a hill watching the horses run, followed by the wranglers, across it when I got this shotTime
I got up before sunrise for this photo, so I was able to capture the sun rays behind the clouds of dust to get the perfect shot. The time for this photo was roughly around 6-7, but I went to the hill around 6 and waited.Lighting
The best part about this photograph it that was used only with natural lighting, and no filters on my camera, or post editing on my photograph.Equipment
I shot this with my Olympus OM-D EM1, with a 40-150mm lens on it.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this photograph simply by the mood. The way the wranglers lariat was flowing through the air, and the sun behind the dust just left me in awe, and I knew I had to preserve that memory.Editing
I did not do any post-processing to this photo. In my camera bag
The equipment I typically have in my bag is an assortment of things. I have extra batteries, business cards, my camera, and a few lens. As well as a lens cloth, memory cards, and usually some gum.Feedback
The best advice I can give someone to photograph objects with the sunrise, is the earlier you are there the better! I got to my site before the sun even started to rise, and just waited. You will be much more calm knowing you beat the sunrise, instead of rushing to get the last few minutes of it!
