Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley National Forest! It was sunny for most of the shoot, and then it started raining toward the end and that was when I was able to grab this intimate shot.

Time

I started shooting around 1530!

Lighting

I shoot with all Natural light, and really enjoy the moody edits, so I made sure my camera was set up for lower exposure as well.

Equipment

I shot this with a NIKON D750 and my settings were Aperture f/4.5?ISO 400?Shutter 1/100?Focal Length 850/10

Inspiration

This photo was part of an engagement session, so the whole session was very intimate. I couldn't help but see how in love they looked kissing each other in the rain, and I was lucky enough to capture the moment.

Editing

I did post-process this photo, as I have a few moody presets in my Lightroom that I tinker with here and there.

In my camera bag

I always have my nikon, my 50mm and 85mm lens, as well as a case of empty memory cards, and usually two fully charged backup batteries. I also carry a microfiber cloth incase my lens needs wiped.

Feedback

The only advice I can give is to not stop shooting! Most couples block out that someone is photographing them in an engagement session, so dont hesitate to photograph them while they are having a moment! You wont regret it and they will love it.
