Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photograph in Cocoa, Florida.

Time

The photograph was taken at around 10pm. We had been for a meal in the local town & took a walk down by the harbour side.

Lighting

The light that was reflecting off the water was so tranquil. The sky was lit by the stars, a beautiful site that I couldn't wait to catch

Equipment

I used a Nikon D7000 & Sigma 10-20mm & a fence! No tripod

Inspiration

The water was so still & the night sky so clear it was just a perfect scene. In the high res version you can see the stars in the sky

Editing

I did very little post processing, only lifting the clarity slightly to make the stars 'pop' more.

In my camera bag

I normally carry a Nikon D7000 & D800. Sigma 150-500mm, sigma 10-20mm & Tamron 90mm

Feedback

If a scene really catches your eye just take a moment to photograph it. I didn't have a tripod on me so I took advantage of the fence along the board walk, setting the camera to a delayed shutter to stop any image blur & a 30" exposure to capture the light & reflection on the water.
