As I was driving through Staffordshire, England on work related business, I found myself going through the small village of Gnosall, and I saw this lovely scene. I decided that since it was about lunch time, I would take a few moments, stop and take some photos of the narrow boats moored along the river side path.

The Shropshire Union Canal is a charmingly rural and isolated waterway for much of its length. With stretches where there are no towns for miles, it is a great place to get close to nature. Passing boaters can tie up at convenient moorings and take a wander around historic Gnosall – perhaps pausing for a pint in the traditional Boat Inn.”
