Location
Taken in the streets of Kyoto during the Gion Matsuri Festival.Time
Not much choice about the time as this is during a scheduled parade. It was after 4 pm, but with an overcast sky, the light was just fine.Lighting
Nothing special, in the street, with an overcast sky.Equipment
Just my trusted Nikon D810 and my favorite zoom, 70-200 f/2.8Inspiration
I was following the parade to try to catch a portrait. The way so many people are dressed up and made up in exactly the same way inspired me for this shot where I used as small a DOF as possible.Editing
Very little post-processing. Basic tone adjustment, and a light vignette. In my camera bag
I usually only carry a camera with either the 70-200 mm zoom or the 24-70 mm one. Sometimes, I also take one or two prime lenses with me, for some specific purpose.Feedback
Nothing special. This photo was taken during a popular event taking place in very crowded streets. The most difficult part is probably to be able to find a good spot form were to take the photos.
