I took the long way to Raymondskill Falls this morning. It had snowed the night before and when we got there, no one had been on the path yet. There was no wind and all that could be heard was the sounds of the forest. Small animals, birds and the sound of wet snow falling off of the trees. I didn't get to the falls on this morning because the final descent is interesting without snow. I could hear the falls through the trees but that was as close as I got. The falls would have to wait for another day.
