Location
I took this photo in downtown Cleveland, Ohio USA in the 'Public Square'.Time
This image was taken around noon as I would spend my lunch hours fro my day job taking photos in the inner city.Lighting
High Noon lighting can be harsh, but a cloudy day assisted in getting great natural light without blowing out the image.Equipment
I shot this hand held (no tripod) using a Canon 20D SLR Camera and a Canon L 70-200mm 2.8 Lens with no flash used.Inspiration
This man had a great face full of interesting details and wonderful eyes. He was homeless, I spoke to him and asked if I could take his photo, he agreed. I offered him what money I had on me so he could buy some lunch. He was a very pleasant man to talk to and I enjoyed our conversation, I hope life gets better for him.Editing
I converted the photo to Black and white and adjusted the contrast and sharpness in Adobe Photoshop. In my camera bag
When I took this photo I only had a Canon 20D SLR. I now carry a Canon 60D SLR and Canon Rebel as a backup, A Canon L 70-200mm 2.8 with a 2x extender, a Canon L 24-70mm 2.8 and a Canon 18-55mm 3.5-5.6. I also carry a Caon External flash with a Gaey Fong diffuer, extra batteries and flash cards.Feedback
Be patient and kind when talking to strangers, you would be amazed with who you meet and photograph.
