I took this photo in my back yard tree on a snowy winter day.Time
The photograph was taken in the early afternoon.Lighting
I took the phot without flash (natural light) as I shot it quite a distance (200mm) and a high ISO and speed (Aperture: f/2.8, ISO: 800, Exposure: 1/1000),Equipment
Camera: Canon EOS 60D, hand held - no flash, through my kitchen window to my back yard.Inspiration
I love birds especially our Ohio State bird, the cardinal. I have a few feeders and do my best to get as many shots of these beauties as possible. This was actually the same bird shot twice in different poses and put together with photoshop.Editing
I took two separate shots of the same cardinal, one sitting with wings down and one where he had his wing extended, I used the cloning tool in photoshop to put the two poses togther. In my camera bag
Canon EOS 60D and Canon Rebel XTI. Canon 24-70 mm 2.8 and a Canon 70-200 mm 2.8 lenses. A 430EX External Flash and a Gary Fong Diffuser. Lots of batteries and data cards.Feedback
Be patient and creative and quiet when taking nature photos. Buy a long lens, I want to add a 400mm to my equipment list wen I can afford it.
