We used two studio lights to creat this look, both with softboxes.Equipment
I shot with my canon 7D and one of my mid-range lenses. I was still using my 28-135mm canon lens back then.Inspiration
Athena has a fantastic look, and a really great edgy sense of style. I wanted to capitalize on that and really bring out the bold, powerful woman I've seen her be.Editing

I usually carry my primary camera body (a 7D back then, a 7D Mark II now), my 50mm 1.4 lens and my midrange lens. I've yet to add a serious telephoto to my bag of tricks. Perhaps that will be my next purchase.Feedback
Really work with your model on posing. Find their strengths and get them to really run with them. Athena has such presence, I really wanted her posing and gestures to convey that.
