It was quite magic - I only had seconds to choose time + aperture and catched the scenery with some serial shots - magic comes often unexpected and quite fast - and sometimes on four wheels ;) ... make sure you always have your cam in a mode ready to just turn it on and start taking pics to catch moments like this one. ... Update: you find some more pics of THIS series in my gallery :)

Behind The Lens
Location
Berlin city centre next to the famous world clockTime
late evening, the sun was standing deep on the horizon and the Alexander square was already under the long shadows of the builings surrounding it.Lighting
if you look closer to the details of the pic the only thing that went right was: The cam was - lucky me - set to serial pictures mode and less than 1/125 so I could make the motion visible ... but the lens was at aperture 8 which gave it slightly more focus than I would have loved in this pic ... but there was no time to think about, just grab and take the pics (in fact there is a series and the best pics are in my gallery here at viewbug :)Equipment
Taken with a EOS 700d (guess in the states its still called "rebel", taken with a second hand - and quite heavy - Tamron 18-270 lens.Inspiration
I always hoped - guess anyone of you too - soemthing like this moment would happen to me - I try to keep my cam with some standard settings ready - but this one is really a lucky shot with some fast reaction right in the middle of a talk with a singer friend of mine (click my "most viewed pics" tab and you´ll see her black and white portrait taken the very same day just minutes before - funny enough 2 of my most viewed yet very different pics r taken the very same day :) ) Actually I I stopped in the middle of the sentence, wend on my knees while grabbing the cam and straight pushed the button for some 20 seconds until the dog was cruising up and away :)Editing
just slightly contrast and colour adjustment since the scenery was in shadows and I set it up the way I had seen the colours ´n light with my eyesIn my camera bag
a wideangle, that travelzoom used for this pic and - sometimes - a Lensbaby composer for trying arroundFeedback
I suppose to catch something like this parks or like here - central squares in your city are the best places to catch unique street artists and even sceneries like this one. But this one is really special. I hoped to see the dog there the next day same time again but it took some 3 months until I had my next encounter with him (actually with pics that didn´t came out that nice as THIS ONE here :) And in Advance - big thank you for anyone who voted for my pic here :) More about me? Just read my bio here on viewbug. You´re welcome + all the best for your pics too!
