Location
This photo was taken from the hill above a place called Risan, located at the Boka-Kotor Bay in Montenegro.Time
I took this photo in the afternoon - I was driving on the zig-zag road that leads towards Nikšic and I stopped on the side of the road to admire this beautiful view for a while.Lighting
The light in the photo is the natural light.Equipment
I used the Canon 600D camera for this photo. I like using this camera as it's not too heavy or bulky to carry around with me when I am on a road trip through Europe. I haven't used any tripod for it, I just held the camera in my hands.Inspiration
A few times each year I drive on this road and each time I particularly enjoy the views from this very location. I love the different layers of mountains right above the sea. I thought it would be a nice memory to have for myself, but also to show others how beautiful Boka-Kotor Bay in Montenegro is.Editing
I didn't shoot this image in the raw format and so didn't do any post-processing. It is exactly how it was shot on the day.In my camera bag
I don't have space to carry too much equipment in my bag, as I drive with my family and a number of pets (two dogs, a cat, a parrotlet and a turtle) to get to and from various destinations throughout Europe, so usually it's just my Canon 600D camera with one or two lenses (as a spare). I also carry my laptop and a card-reader or a connecting cable to regularly back up all the images onto an external hard disk.Feedback
I find that being flexibly-minded to stop by the side of a road is crucial if a good view just suddenly appears in front of your eyes.
