Location
In Arches National Park, in eastern Utah.Time
Morning.Lighting
Nice lighting here. The clouds really helped soften the light, so it's not too harsh, and yet there's enough light to bring out the colors.Equipment
Pentax K-5, Pentax DA 10-17 fisheye, Feisol tripodInspiration
I wanted to get the best shot I could manage of The Organ, another famous landmark often photographed.Editing
Darkened the sky just a bit. Hand cleaned fringing around Organ formation. In my camera bag
Pentax K-5iis, Pentax DA 15 f4 Limited, standard zoom lens, other lenses as neededFeedback
Try an odd focal length (i.e., rather than the focal length most used to photograph specific location) to get a slightly different perspective. If the shot is usually taken a wide angle shot, try a telephoto or a fisheye lens instead.
