Pentax K-5, Pentax M 20 f4 lens, Feisol tripod, 2 stop ND filter, 4 stop soft neutral grad filter

Inspiration

The scenery of the northcoast of California, which is especially terrific on those rare occasions when their is a stunning sunset

Editing

I composited two images, one optimized for foreground, the other for the sky, combining them in Photoshop after working on both images in Lightroom

Pentax K-5iis, DA 15 f4 limited lens, standard zoom lens, polarizer filter, neutral density filters, graduated neutral density filters

Feedback

Shoot multiple shots, use a tripod, shoot at base (i.e., lowest) ISO to improve dynamic range, shoot in manual and expose to the right of the histogram
