And the Crowd Looks On

My girlfriend and I decided to take a walk down to see the fireworks this past July 3rd at her local beach. I decided instead of shooting just the fireworks, I wanted to capture the whole environment, the fireworks, the Long Island Sound and the large crowd that had gathered to see it so I decided to use my super wide lens to capture more of the scene. The composition was planned to show the curve of the beach with some of the on-lookers on the sidewalk watching the show. A pleasant surprise was the gentleman in the bottom right hand corner decided to stand up halfway through the show. I feel his posture and presence add interest to this shot. Enjoy!
