My girlfriend and I went to a local park for sunset when we noticed the clouds formations. However when we arrived the sky was less than stellar. Dull and washed out. I found a composition I liked and we decided to just wait it out to see what would happen. About 30 minutes after actual sunset the sky became this deep shad of red and a beam of light shot up from behind the distant cliffs. It was quite a site to see.
