On our recent trip to Acadia National Park, my girlfriend and I decided to do a whale watching-puffin tour. The whales were a no-show, however the puffins did not disappoint. I captured this little guy running on water to get enough speed to takeoff. Burst mode, a steady pan on a rocking ship and a whole lot of luck got me this capture. On a side note, I got this shot about an hour into a four hour trip and it was my last shot since I spent the remainder of the cruise hiding in the bathroom with seasickness. Note to self, take dramamine the next time Im on the ocean in choppy seas. Enjoy!
