Location
This photo was taken in a busy intersection, in the center of Manitou Springs, Colorado.Time
I captured this mid-day on New Years Eve. We had a few hours to explore the town before the reception.Lighting
I love the look of natural light used here.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 5D Mark II, equipped with a 50mm lens.Inspiration
The couple inspired me to take the photo. They were so very excited and into our photo walk of the town, and the town was excited about them... Lots of cheers from peoples, honking from cars, and congratulations from friendly passerby's. I was also inspired by the viewpoint in the center of the intersection.Editing
I did a little distortion/blurring of the background. I felt the traffic was a bit too distracting from the couple. I wanted to separate them from it, in a way to make it feel as if they were in their own little bubble. In my camera bag
I carry my Canon 7D, and 6D. I always have my Canon 85mm prime (my favorite at the moment). Additionally, I always have a few other lenses for different situations. Like my 70-200mm, 50mm prime, and my 10-22mm (another favorite). Also in the bag are a bunch of Yongnuo flashes, triggers, diffusers and bubble gum!Feedback
Place your subject in the middle of an intersection. Do not pose them, let them do their own thing.
