Looks like he (or she) has as much of a problem with static as I do! Great shot. Congratulations!

Location
He was in the back of a pickup truck in a parking lot of a food market in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.Time
I believe it was early afternoon.Lighting
Nothing unusual. Just natural daylight.Equipment
I used a Sony Nex-6 with a 17-55mm lens. There is an in-camera HDR capability on this camera, and I used it for this photo.Inspiration
My camera was new and I was carrying it everywhere! I just saw this adorable red dog peering over the back of the pickup and grabbed my camera.Editing
I did very little post-processing. I cropped some and used the iphoto slider to sharpen the image. In my camera bag
Sony Nex-6, a 17-55, a 14mm, a 50-200mm and a fish-eye lens. I always carry several extra batteries and memory cards. Twice I went out shoot for hours and discovered when I got home that my camera did NOT have a MEMORY CARD in it! I'm paranoid about that now.Feedback
Just always have your camera with you. My camera is out of my bag and on the carseat. When something catches your eye, snap quick. Don't hesitate.
