Behind The Lens

Location

I had taken the image inside “The Creeper Gallery”, in New Hope, P.A. which is haberdashery of Gothic Fine art, Antiques, and Peculiars.

Time

I cannot remember the time of day specifically, only that is was sometime in the afternoon but before the dinner hour.

Lighting

I used the flash which came on the camera.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D7100, f 2.8 - 1/60 - ISO 200, hand-held.

Inspiration

There was many shots I took there, so many oddities in the store. If you look in my gallery you will see others.

Editing

The only editing I did was to crop it how I liked. I usually shoot more of a background, then crop. You can always crop things out, but it is difficult and more work to add. I may have enriched the color a wee bit, that's all.

In my camera bag

My bag for my Nikon D7100, always contains two lenses being a 18-140mm and a 55-300mm lens. Two batteries, the charger with a/c cord, and the usb cable to hook camera to my computer,

Feedback

Well, I'm a pure amateur at best. I shoot around the subject with different aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings. Many times, if I have the time, I will write down all the settings corresponding to the picture number/file number. I am more used to film photo's as I was much more prolific a photographer during the 1980's, using the same methods I have mentioned as to "shooting around the subject". Thank you all for the accolades for this shot, I am so pleased one of my shots received recognition.
