There is more than just the mountain at Cradle Mountain. Staying at Cradle Mountain Lodge has its benefits. It has some spectacular walks on its own property which are outside the national park. One of them is the 45 minute King Billy circuit – an easy grade walk that leads one through the Tasmanian Forest through to the King Billy Tree which is over 1600 years old.

This is a relatively easy walk to do, and can be comfortably done within an hour while allowing time to take photographs on the way.
