Location
Photo taken in our spare bedroom which is set up as a makeshift photo studio. I have backdrop and lighting set up in there, as well as windows that provide natural lighting.Time
I don’t remember the time of day. I was taking a few days with my oldest granddaughter and shooting many different scenes with her, many props, etc.Lighting
Room was very nicely lit with dome lights and diffusers, bouncers and in this room I don’t worry about lack of lighting because of some natural and added light.Equipment
All I used was my iPhone 13 Pro Max on a Tripod and a lens that I purchased from Sandmarc. I have several lenses for my iPhone and some filters that give me options while shooting with my iPhone. It takes excellent portraits, especially on a tripod.Inspiration
Halloween was coming up and I have a closet full of props and costumes I have accumulated over the past 15 years. We had fun with various wigs, hair styles, clothes, fabric, scarves, props, etc.Editing
I always edit my photos in more than one app. Some to crop and enhance, if I want to change the color of hair, I have an app that I can use for that, selective color is another app, etc.In my camera bag
In my bag, I do have a low level DSLR that I use on occasion and a point and shoot Sony. Backup batteries, SD cards, lenses.Feedback
Use your imagination. I love faces but more than a great portrait, I love originality. Something that makes it unique. I try to think outside the box and give unique perspectives and ideas.
