Location
This shot was taken inside in a “makeshift” temporary studio.Time
I do not recall the time of day but it would have been before 5pm.Lighting
I have two stand up lights with diffusers that I use for indoor portraits that are actual sit down photoshoots.Equipment
I used my DSLR Nikon 3200 with an attached flash and diffuser for additional lighting and Lens would have been normal with a filter for full color.Inspiration
I inherited my Grandmother’s mink and love my daughter’s old fashioned pin-up style look. I got this idea to shoot her in the mink (which normally stays covered in a closet) and give this a sexy, nostalgic look. Hopefully, I pulled that off.Editing
Always do post process editing on phots, clean up the color, crop, any blemishes or flaws the model may have etc. I also like to soften around the subject to bring them more.In my camera bag
Two cameras, two batteries, my iPhone, any charging devices, filters, flash/diffuser, lens cleaner, extra memory cards. Probably more than I need.Feedback
Pick the right model first. You need to have an eye for beauty and they can look terrible without makeup but be a goddess with it. But they do need to be able to give you the “look” so they need to be somewhat comfortable in their own skin. Then take a lot of photos while they SUBTLY move. You will not know until you are done, which ones are “THE” ones.
