I had to edit out some noise but other than that, it turned out great. I'm beginning to think that great digital photography is 80% opportunity. It makes me want to wander the beach at 6 or 7 every night LOL

This was taken by chance. And has become one of my favorite photographs. I put this on canvas and hung it in my home. Thank you for your nice comments and PR’s. Vicki

I don’t know the name of the Restaurant now, but it’s on the water right outside of Grant, FL and this is just north of it on the water side, of coarse. I think the name of the restaurant (at one time) was called The Fisherman’s Wharf or something like that.

Location
This photograph was taken on the east coast of Florida in Sebastian out back behind a restaurant. We were having dinner outside and the sunset was perfect. I see this old, abandoned fish shack and had to shoot it.Time
Obviously late in the day and the sun was setting. Colors in the sky were gorgeous.Lighting
I had all natural lighting from outdoors which is my favorite kind to use.Equipment
Since this was a spur of the moment shot, which I find to be the ones that turn out best (80% opportunity), all I had with me was my iPhone. Nothing more, nothing less than an iPhone camera.Inspiration
The colors of the sky mostly inspired me to take this photo but also, the train track leading out to the fishery shack because my husband loves trains and anything to do with them. I knew he would love this. I had this put on canvas for him to hang in his office.Editing
Of course! Always! My photos are always cropped, color corrected etc.In my camera bag
In my equipment bag there’s a Nikon 3200, a Nikon point n Shoot, several lens covers, several batteries, flash with diffuser and an iPhone tripod and iPhone lenses.Feedback
Anytime you are out on the water or near a place you think you may have opportunity for a great sunrise or sunset, take your gear. I was caught with only an iPhone. I would have taken more shots, had I had my DSLR with me. But always take advantage of what’s in front of you, regardless of the “gear” you have. You never know how wonderful it may turn out!
