This is a six panel mosaic project that I put together last fall of some of the more iconic nebulae regions in the constellation of Auriga. Each of the six composite panels was made up of roughly 24-36 5 minute exposures through a specialized filter to highlight the prominent Hydrogen-alpha emissions in this region of the night sky. I then used a color enhancement that placed emphasis on what is known as a "Hubble Palette" or a color pattern similar to what the space telescope of the same name might see in order to bring out the blues and purples.
