Location
This photo was taken at the local library in Carrollton, Texas. Since I am a self-published author, this sculpture appealed to me in a personal way.Time
I drove to the library at dusk after reading an online article about featured art in the city along with their backstories.Lighting
The shot was taken indoors with fluorescent lighting. I tried using the night vision option to see if it would improve the photo, but I found that it was unnecessary.Equipment
I used a Pixel 6 Pro. I am an amateur photographer and have been surprised at the quality of pictures that I get with my Google phone.Inspiration
I have always loved reading and the written word. This sculpture was particularly interesting to me, since it was a community project that was created to raise funds for the local library's educational programs and to increase their community outreach focusing on volunteerism.Editing
I spend time looking at each photo to see if the cropping feature is needed. I did crop the pic a bit to remove unnecessary background objects. In my camera bag
At this time, I am in the beginning stages of learning how to become a professional photographer. My goal is to purchase a digital camera with special lenses to advance my craft.Feedback
I take pictures of things that speak to me. I appreciate it when a picture has heart. Take photographs of things you are interested in that create emotions for the viewer. Your pictures will then come to life and will stand out among the others.
