Location
I took this photo on Mt. Karvounis which is in Samos island, North Aegean, Greece. The mountain has an altitude of 1150mt high and is the second higher in the island after Mt. Kerkis with 1450mt. The black pine forest of Mt. Karvounis considered to be one of the two that exists in Greece overall. Black pines were used to built traditional fishing boats because of their endurance and flexibility.Time
Around 1200 a.m. We wanted to visit the mountain when it would be surrounded by fog in order to have a more cold and dramatic scenery.Lighting
Light was perfect because of the fog. It was spreaded equally around the place and that gave me a smooth frame.Equipment
My Fuji xt-1 and the 14mm fuji xf f2.8 lense. Nothing else was needed.Inspiration
We were hiking in the forest when I saw the fallen tree on our way. I asked my wife to stand at the edge of the fallen giant and look at the forest. The fallen pine even if it was down to the ground it was still beautiful and stood lordly among its brothers.Editing
I processed the photo a little bit. I enhanced the shaddows and made it alittle bit colder. In my camera bag
When I hike on mountain I always carry all of my equipment which is two cameras and a range of 14mm to 400mm lenses. Of course I also have my tripod and some extra accesories that I might need.Feedback
We should pay a visit on the mountains more often:)
