Behind The Lens

Location

I crossed the Clark Bridge from Alton, Illinois to West Alton, Missouri. The bridge connects Illinois and Missouri over the Mississippi River.

Time

This is one of my favorite photos. It is framed and hanging in my house. I was taking a digital photography class and decided to go out in the evening to shoot random photos. I decided to head over the bridge and take picture where I would not have to deal with traffic or people. The photo was taken on November 30, 2009 at 6:39 pm.

Lighting

I wanted to capture all the colors of the lights and reflection from the water. I kept changing my setting until I got the shot I wanted.

Equipment

The photo was taken with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS, a 75-300m lens, and a tripod.

Inspiration

I have always wanted to take a photo of the Clark Bridge. I have not taken many night photos so I decided to try doing one of the bridge.

Editing

I did no post-processing.

In my camera bag

I carry my Canon camera, a 35-80mm lens, a 75-300mm lens, a flash, extra batteries, battery charger, batteries for the flash, and extra SD cards.
