Location
Crescent Beach, Boundary Bay - British Columbia, CanadaTime
Mid afternoon - 3:30 PMLighting
Taken at the end of December, the sun was low over the horizon and setting within the hour.Equipment
Nikon D700 camera, Nikon 70-200mm telephoto lense and a Nikon 1.4X extender.Inspiration

I used Lightroom 4 and Colour FX Pro software to give an added boost to the colours. In my camera bag
To ensure that I don't encounter any surprises when I go out for a photo shoot, I usually carry all of my Nikon lenses, a tripod and an external flash unit. Lenses include a 14-28mm wide angle, 105mm macro, 70-200mm telephone and a 1.4X extender.Feedback
Be patient when taking pictures of birds or other wildlife. If you wait long enough you will have a greater chance of taking a spectacular picture.
