.....the photograph of the owl was shot in the wild ....it was way too dark out and the iso off the charts ...something beyond 51,200 that only registers as something called Hi 3 ....in all actuality this Great Horned Owl was quite close to the moon although the moon had already risen past the trees and try as i might i couldnt get both the moon and the owl in frame ....moments earlier i was thinking it might be interesting to see the owl framed with the moon ....but those photographs always diminish the size of the moon ...and by the time i had tried to retrieve a wide angle lens ....well the owl had flown off silently and vanished ....still i captured the moon and stars and was able to create a dreamscape of sorts and it was exciting to see one of the most vicious predators of the forest .....
