This was a chance encounter. After chatting to these two men for a while, we parted company and when I glanced back at them I noticed they were totally framed by the branches of the hazel hedges with light at the end of the 'tunnel'. I was also pleased to see that both men had mounted their means of transport. I had to take the shot quickly as they were about to leave the confines of the hedgesEditing
I decided to convert the image to black and white since there was so little colour in the original. I also felt that by doing this it gave the image a timeless qualityIn my camera bag
A Nikon D90 DSLR (now up-graded to a Nikon D7100). A Nikkor 18-105mm DX lens. A Nikkor 70-300mm DX lens. A Nikkor 85mm DX macro lens plus a ring flashFeedback
Have your camera with you at all times, be ready for the chance encounter and act quickly. I often change the ISO setting as I walk along to take into account the different lighting so that I am ready if I need respond rapidly
