Always try and have your camera with you. Be totally alert with an open mind. Try and anticipate what you might see and have the correct lens on the camera. In this case I was curious to see what wildlife I might encounter in such cold conditions so I was ready with my longest lens - but I had to be very quick before the robin flew off
