This is an image of the Mexican Canyon Railroad Trestle, located in the Lincoln National Forest. It is close the towns of Cloudcroft and Alamogordo, New Mexico. It was originally built in 1898 bring the trees down to Alamogordo to mill lumber. It was once described as one of the most spectacular railroads of the American west. The freight services ended in 1947 and the line was dismantled in the summer of 1948.
