This photo was taken in New York City while walking the city streets.Time
This shot is one of my favorites as it really captures the feeling of the city. It was around 8a.m. on a completely overcast day. I was crossing the street when I heard a plane and looked up, luckily my camera was already set as I was shooting up at buildings moments before.Lighting
To me this photograph represents the overwhelming feeling of hope one can have while living in a big city. You are surrounded by towering structures, hundreds of thousands of people, and all of this can make you feel incredibly small. However, looking up always gives you hope of rising through the ranks to truly make a name for yourself.Equipment
I believe this was taken with my Nikon D3100 and a Tamron 10-14mm lens. But It was a while ago so I could be a little off on that...Inspiration
This was one of those right place, right time shots that really spoke to me. While I was editing, it stood out as a pretty powerful piece.Editing
Yes, I used Adobe Lightroom to play with the saturation levels and moved the plan a smidge to be perfectly centered. But for the most part, it is very close to as shot.In my camera bag
I always have my Nikon D610 on me with a Nikkor 24-70 1.8G lens. I usually cary a flash and some other small gadgets just in case but the body lens combo is my real powerhouse.Feedback
Be observant. If you have an idea, wait until the conditions are just right and make sure you are ready to go when they are.
