Again, I don't know why I didn't comment on this one last night - FABULOUS CAPTURE AND EDIT!!! Cher you have outdone yourself!! Beautiful and seamless blending of the horse and background texture. The texture is perfect for this capture, all the texture highlights seem to match the colours in the texture right where they should be. You couldn't have made a better choice. This needs to be printed for sure ! send it to me and I will gladly do it my friend!

Great shot of a beautiful animal and the edit really makes her stand out. It almost looks more like a painting than a photo. Outstanding creativity!!!

Remington was a popular painter of the Old West. This image can hang right along side of any of his p[aintings.

Location
I took this photograph of Daphne at the Riverdale Farm. Riverdale Farm is a working farm which covers 7.5 scenic acres with wooded areas, ponds, gardens and farm animals which is located in the heart of downtown Toronto.Time
I captured this photograph at approximately 2:00 p.m. in natural lighting.Lighting
No flash was required on this particular day as it was a beautiful warm sunny day and the natural lighting was perfect!Equipment
I used my Canon camera which was hand held. I do not believe you do not need to have an expensive camera to capture a beautiful photograph. I feel strongly that cameras do not take the photograph but photographers do.Inspiration
Horses are majestic animals that are as powerful as they are beautiful. How could anyone not take a photograph of this beautiful animal?Editing
The original photograph of Daphne was of the usual corral which was fine but I decided because she was so beautiful that I would add a textured background to her, which I did using I believe a texture from Daily Textures. I think the photograph with the edit came out fabulous. In my camera bag
In my camera bag I carry my Canon camera, extra batteries, various filters, lens filter cleaner and extra memory cards.Feedback
I strongly believe that every photograph tells a story, so make your photograph tell a story. Photography changes the way you see things. You notice colours, textures, people, nature … everything around you looks different when you start to see the world through a lens. Have fun and enjoy doing what you love doing, which is taking photographs. Don’t follow your dreams … chase them!
