Thank you! As you will have noticed in my gallery, I am still learning and still trying to figure out what a good image is. I will keep trying until I figure it out and in the meantime, I will find what I prefer and then work hard to improve my style. I love shooting and learning and I also love it when people tell me what I do wrong and right. Thank you again for your comment. ;)

I took this image on July 30th, 2011 at 3:49 pm. That day we left for a little cruise to do a bit of sightseeing because we had been strongly recommended to go see the monoliths. To my big deception, it was a very foggy day. Today I realized that it would of been a beautiful day to take amazing photos because this one turned out great after all. If it was today, I can't imagine all the different settings I would try and the amount of images I would take. :)Lighting
All I can say about the lighting is that the sky was covered, there was no sun, so no harsh shadows and the sky was like a big soft box. No flash was used to take this image.Equipment
I am a self taught photographer and when I took this image, I really didn't have a clue what shutter speed and aperture meant, so this image was taken handheld in an automatic mode with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 (The Micro Four Thirds - mirrorless interchangeable lens digital camera) and my Panasonic Lumix 45-200 lens. No flash was used. The specs tell me: Aperture: F/5 ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 10/5000 Focal Length: 560/10Inspiration
Even though I didn't have a clue about aperture etc... I have always loved taking pictures and when we went for our little cruise, it was obvious I wouldn't leave without my camera. When I saw this sailboat on the water, it was impossible to go by without snapping a few shots, the red color of the sailboat just appeared out of nowhere on the water, it looked amazing.Editing
From what I have told you, you will probably have guessed that this image was not taken in RAW, it was taken in JPEG. In February 2015 I took a photography course online called iPhotograph and this is where I learned all about the cool stuff and all I could do with my camera. Then in March 2016 I took a Photoshop course online called iPhotoshop and this is where I learned how to do some post-processing. Once I had a little bit of knowledge I remembered this image that I had taken in 2011 so I digged it out and did some minor post-processing: Brightness and contrast, Levels, Curves, Exposure and gave it a little bit of vibrance. In my camera bag
Back then, I probably had my Panasonic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 Aspherical Pancake Lens and my Panasonic Lumix 45-200 for my Micro Four Thirds Interchangeable Lens Cameras Panasonic DMC-GF1.Feedback
I think that the only advice I can give you that I knew back then is to always be on the lookout for a beautiful scenery and don't hesitate to look behind you because sometimes when you think that the subject in front of you is good, the one behind you can be amazing. Don't be disappointed, if it is not a sunny day because honestly, the sun, if not used properly can be your worst enemy. A covered sky is a FREE huge soft box and it produces amazing photography. One important advice: For many years, I have taken hundreds of pictures and I was often very disappointed with the results because I was only using the automatic mode, I didn't have a clue what I was doing and didn't have any control on my pictures. Now after taking two different courses, I am enjoying photography 100% time more and I look forward to improving myself every day. I know that there is a lot to learn but when you love what you do, it's easy and very exciting. So don't wait any longer and take some courses, read your camera manual and learn how it works. You will thank me for it. :) And last but not least, go out and shoot with your heart, have fun and enjoy every minute.
