A diver resurfaces from the depths of the Devil's Ear Spring in Northern Florida. This spectacle of amazing color is the meeting of two waters. The crystal clear fresh springwater emerging from the Earth and dark tannin stained water of the Santa Fe River. Truly a wonder of this planet we call home.

Location
This photo was taken underwater in the Devil's Ear Spring at Ginnie Springs Outdoors. A private nature park located in High Springs Florida.Time
The image was taken at around 4:30pm in the afternoon.Lighting
This amazing spectacle of colors is caused by clear spring water blending with the cloudy tannin stained waters of the Santa Fe River. A natural occurrence in the confluence of two waters. This image was also recognized by Nat Geo Travel in 2015 as winner of their 'See Life Through A New Lens Contest'.Equipment
Canon Rebel T3i, Tokina 10-17mm Fisheye lens, Ikelite underwater housing and 8" dome.Inspiration
It was my birthday an went diving with some friends.Editing
Post processing is very minimal in this image. A little color correction and noise reduction. This spring truly looks like this under the correct conditionsIn my camera bag
I never leave for an outing without my Tokina 10-17mm Fisheye lens and a monopod. Those two are my most reliable tools that suit my shooting style.Feedback
When going for underwater shot similar to this be sure to take weather conditions and lighting into account for the best possible results.
