It is also called the Bird of paradise bush and Barba de chivo (goats beard). . The flowers are clustered at the stem tips. The individual flowers have 5 yellow petals and conspicuous, red, 3 1-2 inch (9 cm) long stamens. The flowers are followed by flat, oblong, green to reddish bean pods that are dotted with red, glandular hairs. The bean pods dry to a tan color and split open and curl when mature. It has taken three summers and a lot of tries, finally something worthy of posting. I also love the colors and for sure the POV which helps magnify everything as it explodes from the center of the composition.

I agree the colors are spectacular, juxtaposed against such a blue sky. Thank you!
