Thank you for the comment on the white background, as I was editing this photo it was by chance that I tried to lighten the background and wow it made the spider just pop out of the photo.

They use a non-sticky web on the ground: any insect landing on it causes the spider to run out from a tubular shelter to seize its prey. This grass spider (funnel web spider) produces agatoxins which quickly causes paralysis after the prey has been bitten.
