Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken in one of the streets here in my home town Zagreb, Croatia.

Time

It was 18:21 in the afternoon.

Lighting

Nothing special about lighting. Average light on a clear weather in October before evening.

Equipment

Olympus E-3 camera with digital zoom Zuiko f:2.8- 3.5, 50-200 mm + 2x teleconverter @ 208 mm was used hand held.

Inspiration

I was siting in a row of cars at the traffic light waiting for the green light. Girl and boy were over the other track of the avenue, some 30 meters away, talking and laughing. It looks very sweet, so I decided to take an image. Later on my computer, I noticed that girl was looking strait at me when i tok images (two of them). The second one, presented here, was result of my interest at them. I presume she kissed her boy to me in spite and that is what this image shows.

Editing

Some contrast, details and sharpening was done with Topaz plugins in Photo Shop and a blurring effect was added to bring interest to a center part of the image.

In my camera bag

Olympus cameras and lenses :E-3 and/or E-520 and digital Zuiko Zooms f:2.8-4, 12-60 mm and f:2.8-3.5, 50-200 mm. Sometimes I bring with me f:2 50 mm Macro and/or f:8 500 mm reflex old OM lens and a teleconverter 2X.

It is all about observing your surroundings, having your gear with you and ready and be quick and lucky :)) … so nothing difficult or complicated :))
