Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on Lake Orsje a few kilometers from Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. The lake was formed by extracting sand and gravel and then the extraction was abandoned.

Time

It was 6:36 in the afternoon.

Lighting

The light was completely natural and came from the setting sun.

Equipment

Olympus E-500 with Olympus Zuiko Digital f:2,8-3,5, 50-200 mm @ 200 mm, handheld.

Inspiration

The beautiful light of the setting sun and two swans on the narrow path of the unfrozen water, which they maintained themselves so they could swim.

Editing

Only some sharpening and contrast was added.

In my camera bag

When I go on foot I wear Olympus E-3 and Zoom lenses f: 2.8-4, 12-60mm and f: 2.8-3.5, 50-200mm. When I go with the car I also take the Olympus E-520, f: 2 50 mm macro, teleconverter 2x, sometimes I want to shoot with an old OM reflective (mirror) f: 8 500 mm lens. I rarely use the flash and tripod, mostly at home.
