This is a really nice shot! I like how the color of the water changes the color of the tree limbs.

Location
In the New Forest in South England, on my way to visit a friend, I was driving past and spotted the tree, so pulled in to grab a few shots.Time
Just after middayLighting
It was actually rather overcast with flat light but a still day so no wind meant good reflectionsEquipment
Nikon D5100 with 55-300mm Nikkor telephoto lens, no flash or tripodInspiration
I just loved the intricate shapes of the fallen tree and the exact reflections, as well as the textures and subtle coloursEditing
Contrast adjusted, slight lomo and Orton effect to enhance the shapes and texturesIn my camera bag
I nearly always have my Nikon D5100 with me and I tend to use the telephoto 55-300mm lens most of the time. I do also carry the kit lens at times and some filters. I also have a Nikon J2 with a 10-30mm kit lens which is good for more wide angle shots and if I can't carry the bigger camera. If it's raining I use an Olympus TG-1 which is waterproof! I do have a tripod & monopod but tend not to use them very often. I always have spare battery and SD cards as well as bits and bobs for cleaning my kit or protecting it from the wet.Feedback
I'm an opportunist, so my advice is to always be on the lookout for opportunities and keep in mind a fresh perspective by observing from unusual angles.
