Location
This photo was taken in my neighbourhood. The local farmer loves to work 'oldschool' with his horses in the fields around his farm.Time
It was early morning, he was cutting trees and the horses where giving him a helping hand (leg).Lighting
Harsh light conditions - no use of flash.Equipment
My wide Fujinon lens was handy for this situation where the surroundings needed to be caught in the frame. I use a mirrorless Fuji system. No tripod, no flash.Inspiration
I have a lot of respect for the local old farmer. I had plenty of conversations about interesting subjects with him. I know he has a tractor, but prefers to make use of his beloved horses. No fuel, no exaust nor noise. He told me he demonstrates working with the horses to schoolchildren as he sees many are not aware of how things where done in the past.Editing
With the harsh light conditions I had to do some slight correction in the shadows with LR and tried to keep the good looking clouds. In my camera bag
I tend to always have one of my two mirrorless body's and one or two Fujinon lenses with me in a bag or case.Feedback
You never know what wil happen or what you see along the road. So, my advice is to always have a camera at hand, in the car or even on on's bike. This image was taken in such a moment, where I happend to pass him at work.
