Location
The photo was taken in 2011, in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. This is the place where lived my grandfather and my mother grew up.Time
The photo was taken for the sunset, in the rye field. This is the field I noticed for a long time, because it was on a hill, so rye is bordered on the sky on the horizon.Lighting
The setting sun gave almost horizontal light, and I only had time to make the frame you want, because it very quickly took over the horizon.Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D3s, with an Sigma 20 1.8. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
My girlfriend was visiting me during my summer vacation with my grandfather. I went there very often, and found a lot of beautiful places, but I have never been a model for the shooting. So I asked her to buy different fabrics, which would remove it and came up with a plan for a week of filming, where she will shoot. It was a great week for which we have made dozens of great photos.Editing
When processing for a long time obscured the sky, as in the original, it was very bright, because otherwise the sunset shadows would be very dark. Color also makes soft and gentle. In my camera bag
Usually, when I go out to take pictures of people, I take the "portrait" kit. It includes Nikon D3s (although now I started using Nikon Df), Sigma ART 24mm 1.4, Sigma Art 35 1.4, Nikkor 50 1.8 and Nikkor 85 1.4D. With such a focal length and aperture I can take pictures of practically any plot at any time of the day.Feedback
Shooting at sunset - always a great time. The only decline usually takes place very quickly, so it is best to arrive at the right place in advance and understand exactly which photos need to do, is quite possible to shoot multiple takes. Also helping the various programs on a smartphone, which can accurately show how the site will be sunset.
