Back in April of this year (2015), my wife and I took the kids for a weeks holiday in Norfolk. We stayed at a caravan park at Heacham. We had a lovely stay and we were right on South Beach. This part of Norfolk has the only coastline in England that hosts a sunset across water. I really wanted to take advantage of this so I set out to capture a lovely sunset, only to be knocked back by the heavy cloud and mist filling the sky so that it was only a faint colour in the sky. Determined, I set up my tripod and camera, fixed on the only point of interest along the south beach, a small pier. There were no waves that washed ashore as this part of the coastline is known as “the wash,” so it was a very gentle tide that came in, but it did come in rather quickly. I set my camera for a very long exposure to get this lovely shot. I’m still very proud of this and I hope you enjoy it as well. Let it fill you with the peace of that days end. I know I enjoyed it.
