I count two people: the photographer and the viewer (credit to Mr. Adams for pointing that out). Awesome shot.

This location has been on my bucket list for awhile if it's the mill in WV. Gorgeous shot!

Congratulations! Well deserved on this image. Would someone mind telling me what the location is? I'm in East TN so thinking I may be fairly close. Cheers,

Beautiful!! I really love the shutter speed you used to catch the motion of the water.

I might have cropped off the left side, put the mill moer at the upper-left rule-of-thirds intersection. What do others think?

I like it as is. The composition is balanced. The muted tones of the mill and creek are central and surrounded by color. I think I have taken this exact same shot at a different time of year.

I have shot this mill in the winter and summer. I’d love to shoot it in the fall. You did a wonderful job of capturing the vibrant colors. I am in awe of your opportunity. It is a long way from Texas.

Location
This photo was taken at Babcock state park in West Virgina.I called the park repeatedly in the fall to find out when peak fall colors were taking place.Time
I drove from Ohio to Babcock state park the night before and spent the night in one of there cabins.I woke up and got to the Grist Mill before sunrise. There was a fog after sunrise so I had to wait till the fog lifted,so it was after 12:00 pm before I got the shot.Lighting
With the fog and overcast conditions this day the diffused light allowed me to shoot later then I normally would.Equipment
This photo was shot with a Canon 5D with a 24-70mm F2.8L lens and a tripod.Inspiration
I had seen this Grist Mill in a photo online and knew that this would be a great fall foliage shot,so I did some digging to find out where it was and then planned my trip for the fall.Editing
I shoot in Raw so there is always post-processing.In my camera bag
I carry a Canon 5D with a 24-70mm F2.8L and a 100-400 4.5L Lenses and I usually carry neutral density filters to shoot longer exposures.I always use a tripod and cable release when shooting landscapes.Feedback
My advice is to do your homework and try to scout your location if you can.Try and shoot in the mornings and evenings, but under the right conditions even midday shooting can still yield good results.
