Interesting processing here. The way the dark sky arcs above the trees makes me think this is a view from a cave. Nice work!

Location
This Image was taken at Browns falls near Killarney Queensland it is the head of the mighty Condamine river which is one of our longest rivers in Queensland but looks more like a creek.Time
This was taken mid morning on the 10th April 2014Lighting
Even though it was mid morning it was quite dark under the tree canopy and the light was filtering through the trees behind the small falls lighting up the foliage and putting a nice shimmer on the waterEquipment
Canon 600D Camera, Canon Kit Lens EFS-18-55mm and a Tripod. My setting were ISO100,f/9.0,1SEC.Inspiration
i had only been taking photo's seriously for about 3 months and i have not had a chance to photograph a Waterfall before and as i had only moved to the area late the year before it was time to get out and have a look around the area and the waterfalls were only a 20min car ride away i set out with my kit to see what they were like as my brother was coming up for a visit and he wanted to capture a waterfall as well. This was one of my very first images of a waterfall this was one of three cascades before a 10 meter fall which i didn't get to on this day as i was by myself and to get there was quite slippery and there was no one else around so i stuck to the cascades for safety reasons.Editing
i don't know exactly what i did in post. being new to photography a had no real idea what i was doing so i just played around until i got the end result and then converted to black and white to achieve this look.In my camera bag
On the day the image was taken my kit was very simple the Canon 600D, the 2 Kit lenses 18-55mm & 55-250mm EFS, Polarizing filter and a cheap Chinese tripod.Since then i have upgraded my tripod to a heavy duty Vanguard, Tamron 90mm macro lens, Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 Lens, Sigma 50mm f/1.4 art Lens, Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 C Lens, flash gun,Various filters, Battery grip, and extra batteries.Feedback
Walking up along the river under the canopy the temperature can drop quite a lot so a warm jacket would be advisable, also it can get very slippery so a good pair of walking boots that you don't mind getting wet i took this image standing in the water up to my knees, take drinking water and energy snacks. When you get to your destination be prepared to take multiple shot from different angles and different settings. Keep your eyes opened while on the journey there will be always something of interest to capture on you way there and back. Most of all enjoy the day.
