What will you do to to get to hard to reach locations. I had a big day and Hopkins falls was the last and the most awaited one in my list for the day. I finally decided to head towards Hopkins falls. You can see the falls from the lookout but to get a clear cracking shot YOU got to get to the base(don't forget your gummboots). The light was just great, cold temp, and about to rain. I used my 10 stops nd filter to get a long exposure with a wide open aperture to get every thing sharp starting from the nearby swirls until the background.
Ps: if you are planning to go to photograph Hopkins falls, Aus, do not try to jump over the fences, they are electrified and I paid my price that day(but I guess I was lucky). It looks easy to reach from over the fences which are electrified and has no warning boards around. You can access it from a 'not so much visible path' around the area, which leads you on the left side of the falls. This is a one single exposure.

Chaosphoto, Hopkins falls is in Warrnambool, Aus. If you ever decide to visit 12 Apostles, this is one of the nearby waterfalls which can be easily visited along with Hopetoun and beauchamp falls.

It's such a surreal looking photo, perhaps from another planet? I love it and I'm glad you're ok after the electric fence. That must have been quite a jolt!

Thanks DebJay, yeah that was a tough experience on its own and must say worth it. I have learnt to be more careful while shooting and not just carried away with it.

I was scrolling through some of the most popular shots for the contest "my best shot" and this one stopped me. It's so stunning and unique that it commands attention. Outstanding job!

As close to "the perfect shot" that you could possibly get. Well done!

Thanks mate, its a bit late now. And I could have removed the grass when I was working on this image but I left it deliberately to show the start point of the image.
