This photo is made by using 31 images with different focus points, so i keep my camera on the tripods and very slowly but very fast changing focuses points i took the burst shots of 31 images , i use light diffuser with 1/20 shutter speed and aperture 10 with iso 100 . I shoot raw with my D750 Nikon and i use 105mm, 2.8g sigma lances with 20 mm + 12 mm extension tube and it taken in my garden in day light plus extra diffuse light .
One more tricks i drop sugar syrup in cotton behind the flowers so the bee take time and don't move too much . First 600 shoots gone something wrong and even this could be much better.

I keep coming back to this shot because I love it so much. One thing though. I don't understand how you changed focus points taking burst shots. Or is this what you meant?

make it very simple , once you focus on bee head and you ready to trigger than press the button and keep roll the focus point toward bees backward , make sure you have enough light and your flash keep flashing (keep in manual on 1/64 hardness ) too. shooting mood manual and burst mood CL

One of the best shots I've seen in a while! Quite a lot of effort you put into it! Does the sugar drop trick work each time?
