We stopped by a BBQ restaurant on the Kenai Peninsula on the way to Cooper Landing, Alaska. As we walked into the restaurant, I noted a gazillion tree stumps behind the place. I asked one of the waiters why the trees were all cut and he indicated that they had a serious disease that required they would be cut down. The good thing is that they will be used for fuel for the upcoming winter season. This was a beautiful site to see! Everything was so wet and soggy. What an incredible place!
